I'm inclined to agree. And all things being equal, which they aren't, Google also had the benefit of being easier to work with from inside of Blogger. It's just as easy as uploading a picture, where with YouTube I had to go to a separate site, load the video, grab the embed text, and bring it back to Blogger. Not hard, but tedious at times.
Google yes.
